(More customer reviews)I ordered this to put on my front porch and was eagerly awaiting its arrival. Unfortunately, when I assembled it, the whole thing was pretty wobbly. It wasn't possible to have more than 2 legs touching the floor at the same time. I figured I could shore up the legs to level it. Unfortunatley, I then realized the metal liner wasn't water proof. At that point I gave up.
I still like the design of this item and that it has a lower shelf where (theoretically) more plants could be, but the flimsiness made it a no-go for me.
On a happier note, the customer service woman provided great service and was appropriately apologetic about my troubles and made the return very easy and convenient. I wish the product was as a good as the service.

Metal Ivy Design staircase Plant Stand Review

(More customer reviews)We bought this plant stand about a month ago, when we discovered that our new house had relatively few spots with adequate light for our plants. It does its job quite well: it's attractive (at least for the price), and it's reasonably sturdy. I wouldn't put an extremely heavy plant on this stand, but it's fine for ordinary house plants. Plus, it holds several plants in a reasonably small space.
You DO have to put the thing together, which is a slightly awkward process but not an onerous one; it'd be much improved if the directions consisted of more than four drawings!

(More customer reviews)I love this plant stand. Notice in the video, the brackets I mention are not shown in the still pictures provided at the top of the product page. I don't know why that is, but you will definitely need to install the brackets. I only have four orchids on it right now, but can put six on it. If you have any keikis you'd like to share, let me know :)
The package does not include a picture of the item, but does include line drawings posing as assembly instructions. Someone went to great lengths to demonstrate the little bitty Phillips screws on the stand, but didn't bother including all the shelves - I could only make out five. I reckon anyone who could decipher the instructions wouldn't need them anyway. The little bitty screws are pre-installed. You may need to adjust them. I only needed to adjust a couple. Anyway, the instructions are useless, but a little thought and patience are all you really need to assemble it.
I searched the B&M stores locally and couldn't find anything like this. The plant stands had only two or three shelves and were ridiculously expensive. The garden centers didn't have anything like this, either. I don't know what store would carry them, so if you're looking for something like this, go ahead and click "Add to Cart" and save yourself some hassle.

Now they sell a flimsy stand that can't hold anything with it's plastic insert. I searched online for a while and finally tried Amazon. Lo and behold, there was the stand I was looking for. (More customer reviews)I would highly recommend this plant stand from 4D Concepts. First of all, it's attractive - the shelves give the appearance of slate. Secondly, it very compact and doesn't take up the room that 3 individual plant stands would. In addition, the side shelves fold up if you don't want to use them. I have one very large plant - 16" in diameter - in the center, and two 8" plants on the side - and the stand is very sturdy. There was no assembly involved, and I'm very happy with the purchase.
