The temp meter slow to change but seem to work, however the moisture meter part is crazy. It may measure it correctly when you push it into the ground, but after a while it will just go dry. Even when it raining for 2 days.
Maybe it gets air between the sensor and the ground I don't know, but it doesn't work.

She clipped all the plants in my house, transplanted a few with the trowels, then stored all the tools back in the molded case to travel to school. There she is growing a variety of seedlings and caring for her roommates plants. I choose the molded case version over the tote bag because I thought that with all the moves she will face in the next few years the case would keep everything together. The clippers are sharp and the tools sturdy enough for an amateur indoor gardener. I combined this gift with a house plant book and it was a success. The trowels would not be sturdy enough to use in hard outdoor soil but that is not the intented use of this product.

Luster Leaf 1820 Rapitest Soil Moisture Meter Review

(More customer reviews)Years and years ago, my mother gave me one of these moisture meters to save me from over watering my house plants and ruining my floors and my furniture.
It finally died (probably after over 25 years!) so I purchased this one. What I like about this moisture meter is that it has a wand separate from the meter itself, which you can stick into the dirt. It makes it much easier to read than the temporary replacement moisture meter I purchased at my local garden supply store that has the wand extending from the bottom of the meter. I have hanging house plants and simply could not read the meter that way. So I highly recommend this one, which also comes with a guide that indicates how much to water a variety of plants. No more checking the top of the soil with my finger, thinking the plant needed water, and killing it with over-watering.

(More customer reviews)Can you imagine buying something, like this, to help you measure SOMETHING. I was very disappointed that ALL it did was give you "moisture," "bright," "warm." NO REAL NUMBERS! Than it gives you a list of plants for your "area" and a link, for some, to buy the plant/seeds - selling! So it does an awful job collecting data with no numbers ("warm," "intense [sunlight]]," "moist"[soil]). What is "bright"? What is "moist"? I could do this MYSELF just by looking and touching the ground! No Ph LEVEL!! They want MORE MONEY for "fertilizer" information. LOUSY and VERY disappointed. Don't waste you money. Just look out the window, touch the ground, and save your money especially when this device comes back with recommendation to "BUY" plants, seeds, and additional soil information on a monthly basis that should be included when you purchase it.
