We did get these planted and the green bean plants are growing. It was pretty easy, my 4yo could probably have done it all himself, if there were better instructions. I uploaded a picture of the back of the package, which are the only instructions in the kit. The kit comes with the pail, 2 circular pieces of dirt (they look freeze-dried), and the package of seeds. When you put water on the dirt circles, they expand (and expand and expand). I had no idea this would happen and had no clue how much water to add. I'd suggest putting the 2 dirt circles in the pail first and adding a little water at a time until it looks like regular potting soil. Then I would plant the seeds. Also, the instructions say you may have to thin the number of plants in the pail, but it gives no indication of how many plants the pail should be able to hold. (I have no clue how to decide if we need to re-plant some of these or not.) Overall, I happy that it did interest my 4yo boy in gardening and he is very excited to watch the plants grow. Now, if only I can just get him to eat the green beans when they sprout....
