(More customer reviews)I've tried to grow 2 of these plants now with the same results, immediatly, both times.
The exotic, interesting plant arrived crushed to begin with, but within 2 weeks it was dried up.
After the first dried up, I did some research to make sure I was caring for it properly.
I've never had plants that I could not keep alive..let alone for 2 weeks.
If you get one...good luck!!!

(More customer reviews)...Hirt's is the vendor for you. Avoid this seller unless you are seeking terrible, non-responsive customer service and unacceptable product quality. Many seeds I ordered never sprouted. One plant arrived near death, another was omitted from the order altogether.
In spite of over half a dozen emails to customer service, no one has ever responded. Plants spouted (one of the few that did).

(More customer reviews)I planted all of the seeds in the packet in one tray, applied heat from below with a seed germination mat, and covered the flat with a plastic lid. Five seeds germinated and two of those did not root. I have a flat with three plants and the rest of the pods are empty. I seeded approximately two to four seeds per pod so edge effects and inter-pod differences in climate control are very unlikely since not one pod germinated more than one seed. I.E. if it were a climate control problem any pod that produced 1 germinated seed should have seen germination from every seed in that pod. This was not the case. I had two germinated at pods on the edge of the flat and three in the middle of the flat. Two of the middle plants did not root.
I did not check to see if there was PLS (pure live seed) test results on the product description. I won't purchase seed without a PLS test again.

Only 2 sprouted the first time around, but I'm not sure if it was due to overwatering them or what, so I purchased this second batch to experiment again. Havent planted the second batch yet though.

(More customer reviews)I was doubtful these things would grow, but they do! When preparing your plants make sure you water the soil pellets and let them fully expand before breaking them apart to make light, loose soil. Then fill the pot 3/4", add the germinated seeds, cover with a thin layer of the soil and water again. I watered lightly everyday until I saw shoots (like 3-4 days later). Now I water lightly every other day. They are like 2" tall now, with a second set of leaves that respond to touch and to daylight. Super cool!
