I both 2 of them and I love them. I placed them on top of my large footed pilar pots in front of my house
and put colorfull flowers in them ..they are doing great and look beautiful...
like a 3 tier wedding cake filled with flowers
Don't forget to drill 2 or too holes in each pot for the water to drain out before added top soil.Highly recommended

Windowsill Self-Watering Planter - Silver Review

This pot was bought for the purpose of hydroponic planting of a plant for work. I am using Perlite only as an anchoring medium; this works like a charm. The plant (a fully-mature spider plant) has made it through a two-week vacation, metabolizing 1/2 of the in-pot water/fertilizer mix. Extrapolating from this experience, I foresee any tropical shade plant easily surviving in this planter for the typical work vacation.

Windowsill Self-Watering Planter - White Review

I have to admit I haven't used this yet for it's self-water feature. The plants are still just sprouts so their root system hasn't developed enough to need the self-watering. But eventually they will get bigger and I think this is going to be a great relationship. I'm growing windowsill lettuce since I'm tired of the selection at the supermarkets and want some hard-to-get greens, decided I'll just grow my own. Only problem is the cat--he keeps checking to see if the sprouts are ready to be eaten so I've had to set up a shelf so he can't get to them. The pot is narrow (6") but long (13") so all the seeds can get light, yet it's light enough for me to rotate so my plants don't grow crooked. I probably could start 2 other pots next to this one if I really wanted to get into indoor farming. The outer pot is nice and sleek. the inner pot drains into the outer one so your plants don't have to sit in water growing moldy, and like hydroponics, you can put a liquid fertilizer in the water which will be drawn up into the inner pot roots.
