I bought 8 of these. The boxes each containe a blue globe with a narrow stem and a red globe with a larger diameter stem.
The blue globes with the narrow ends do not work well, in some cases not at all. The red globes with the larger diameter work great.

I liked the idea a lot when I saw it on TV but did not want to spend that much. I tried to use the same logic and used a clean empty beer bottle filled it with water and inverted it in my pot of daisies. It works the same and I feel great about recycling the glass bottles. If you are creative you can even paint them and its free. :)

I bought six of these to water my large potted plants while we are gone in the summer. Once receiving them, I immediately tried them. I filled them with water, made the hole in the dirt first with something else, and inserted the globes. Water started leaving the globes quickly and within 10-15 minutes, the globes were empty! I was hoping water would stay in the globes long enough to water the plants for at least one week, and they were empty. I soon realized that your plants have to be saturated with water FIRST, then as the dirt around the globes dries, water is released from the globe. Another thing, dirt does get trapped in the stem sometimes. Overall, just make sure that your plants are watered very well before you insert the globes, then they will slowly release the water the plant needs. I've had comments on how pretty they are in the plants also. I think they do the job without having to ask your neighbor to come water your plants while you're gone.

Plant Feeder Watering System APA-PF01 Review

I bought two of these, thinking I'd place them in some of my flower pots. Uh, no. They're huge! It's a bit hard to get any perspective from the photo, but imagine that that pot it's shown in is a large pot made to be placed on the floor with, for example, a bush or small tree in it. It absolutely won't fit in, for example, my miniature rose pots: It's as big as my miniature rose plants.
The waterer itself is great, it's very attractive and from what I can tell it'll do the job well. (My grandmother used very similar but smaller plant waterers for her african violets with great success.) It's just rather large, so you should consider buying it if you have rather large plants that could use a nice watering device.
