(More customer reviews)My wife wanted two plant stands for our bay window. We ordered these thinking they would fit under the windows at 24" tall. When they arrived, we assembled one only to discover that it was, in fact, nearly 34" tall. We are giving them a 5 star review because it was reasonably well made and it assembled easily with the parts and assembly tool provided.
As you probably agree, the "catch" with ordering something online is that if you have to return it, you don't know how it will go. In this case, it went very well. We e-mailed the seller and explained that we did not feel that we should be responsible for return shipping, because the dimensions are incorrect in the online description. In about a week, they responded with online UPS shipping labels, but did not state if they would absorb the return costs, which are typically deducted from the account credit. We dropped the stands off at a UPS shipping site and the next day (yes, the NEXT day!) we got an e-mail from the seller that they had credited our account with the entire purchase price. That is, they did not withhold any return shipping fees.
We're pleased that they were so fair because my wife has already picked out the replacement plant stands. By coincidence, they're from the same company and we have no reservations about dealing with them again.
UPDATE 4/22/02 The description for this product has been changed to reflect its actual dimensions.
