Fertilzer? Don't need it. Vitamins for initial growing are in the berry.
Instructions: just surf the web.
I'm not even sure if I need the soil, but I compost it so nothing goes to waste.
Cheap(er) and the juice comes out great!
I have 3 trays going all the time so my wife and I can juice each day with no pause.

I do not know if the is old seed or what the problem is. Wheatgrass will usually grow no matter what so I gotta believe the seed is not optimal. Very expensive waste of time and money for me = (

Sprouting Strainer Lid Review

(More customer reviews)These are nice and work as intended. But the holes in the lid top are large enough for a fruit fly (and 100 of his friends) to squeeze through. Maybe you don't have fruit flies in your house. Maybe you do, like me. Personally I have not been freaked out too much by this, but I did cut some squares of cheese cloth to put under the lids. So I'm back to cheese cloth. So what did I buy these for? Well, I didn't know about the fruit fly issue. Nobody told me. So now you know.

(More customer reviews)My cats ate this whole bag in about a month. Pour about a third of the bag into a small pot with dirt and water, place it out of the way for 6 days and then it's ready to be eaten. One thing that might happen ( not the fault of the product, it's just what cats do) is your cat might eat a ton of grass and throw it up all over the house. You'll find small piles here and there. The good news is it's easy to clean up. I like this product better than the already-made pet grass from Petsmart or Petco because it's cheaper and I know the dirt and water used to create the plant was safe ( because I prepared it). Overall, great product.
