(More customer reviews)I have had much success rooting cuttings using a humidity dome and standard 10x20 black tray with 13w florescent lights on top (lights outside of the humidity dome). I ordered this kit thinking it was going to be basically the same thing I have been using. I was very disappointed with this kit. The kit killed my cuttings and is way over priced for what it is.
I believe the person who thought this up and put it together has never grown cuttings in his/her life!! Atlantis Hydroponics should at least test their products before selling them!!
Cuttings need 90% humidity and 75 degree temperature to root properly and not dry out and die. Atlantis Hydroponics have cut two additional holes by hand in the humidity dome. The holes are very jagged and rough, anyone with a sharp knife could do a better job! The holes are for the light to go in. However, they are about twice as big as the light and let out the humidity the dome was supposed to be holding in. Atlantis Hydroponics' plan is to put the light inside the humidity dome getting it as close as possible to the cuttings (the cuttings do not need near this much light, after all they have no roots). The light gets around 85 degrees. The heat from the light raises the temperature, which is relative to humidity, causing the humidity to drop and dry out the cuttings causing them to die.
Not only does the dome leak humidity and air around the over-sized holes for the light. The Super Plug's tray does not allow the dome to seal around the bottom. This causes air and humidity to leak in/out the bottom. Combine this with the over-sized holes and the hot light and your cuttings will die for sure.

So, for half of this price you can make your own kit that will actually work without killing your cuttings. And, it will be of better quality and last much longer than this piece of crap Atlantic Hydroponics is selling.
