(More customer reviews)This little light is easy to assemble, needing not much more than a screw driver to tighten the nut and screw. Once it is clamped down on another sturdy object, it stays put. It doesn't wobble or come undone. The cord is five feet long. Depending on how far away this lamp is from the plant, the effective radius is plenty enough (about 24" from a foot away). I use this over a germination set next to my bird cage, and my little dove gets some of that light as well.
One thing about this that may be dangerous to other users: the black hood that goes around the socket gets VERY HOT! This lamp would not be recommended around birds or small children. However, set in a nice location this is a pretty lamp that provides good swivvel and warmth.
This clamp comes with a 60-watt bulb, packed in its separate cardboard support.
