(More customer reviews)I have lettuce growing under the light as I type this. This light is white when turned off but the bulbs do appear blue and red when on. This results in a rosy glow in the area around the light. I had hoped to use this in my living room but have decided it is better to use it to grow seedlings in my work room. I must add that the lettuce is doing great under the led lights and the power usage is amazingly low compared to the florescent light it has replaced. I will have a crop of baby lettuce shortly. Yum.
The unit is well built, light weight and was easy to mount under my old plant light fixture. I am considering another unit to mount right next to this one. The plants really lean toward the led light. The lettuce seedlings like to be close to the bulbs yet there is no leaf burn even when right on top of the plants.
